BJP marching towards Victory in UP Nagar Nigam Election 2017

Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is marching towards major victory in 14 out of 16 seats of Uttar Pradesh Nagar Nigam. Its YOGI-YOGI all around. BJP is leading in seats, including Lucknow, Allahabad, Aligarh,Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Faizabad and Moradabad municipal corporations, while the BSP was ahead in Jhansi and Agra municipal corporations. This time Lucknow will get a woman mayor as the Lucknow mayoral seat has been reserved for women.

The BJP camp is in celebration mood with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attributed the result to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also said that result is an eye opener for all those linking it to Gujarat elections.

The Nagar Nigam elections was conducted in 3 phases on November 22, 26 and 29 and the voter turnout was around 52.4 per cent. Many had called UP Civic Poll as a referendum to eight months rule of Yogi Adityanath. With this BJP and inturn Modi gets a big moral boost and also a big encouragment in the upcoming Gujarat election. Subramanian Swamy tweeted, “UP local bodies elections BJP rides the Ram Mandir wave. Wait for the typhoon in 2019”.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the results of Uttar Pradesh civic polls reaffirmed people’s support for the GST which has made doing busines “easier” for traders.

With UP Nagar Nigam victory, BJP will fight Gujarat assembly election with more encouragement.
